1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
• Country — optionally collected during onboarding to personalise your experience.
• Dosha quiz result — your Ayurvedic constitution (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) as determined by the quiz on kaya5.com, stored to your profile.
• Waitlist email — if you join our waitlist before signing up, we store your email and the page you signed up from.
• User-generated content — questions, answers, and discussion posts you submit on community.kaya5.com.

Information collected automatically

• Signup source — the specific page or section where you first created your account (e.g. the Dosha Quiz, a blog post, or a discussion).
• Last login timestamp — recorded each time you sign in.
• Usage and analytics data — page views, session duration, and interaction events collected via Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, ContentSquare, and Vercel Analytics.
• Cookies and session tokens — used to keep you signed in across kaya5.com and community.kaya5.com. A shared session cookie is set on the .kaya5.com domain so a single sign-in works on both sites.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the platform — signing you in, displaying your profile, and personalising your experience.
• To send you emails you have opted into — welcome messages, blog post notifications from Kaya Gurus you follow, and platform updates. We use Resend to send email from admin@kaya5.com.
• To improve the platform — understanding which features are used, where users come from, and how to prioritise development.
• To moderate content — ensuring questions and answers meet our community standards.
• For internal analytics — our admin dashboard shows aggregate sign-up data and email list information to help us understand platform growth.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal purposes or to maintain the integrity of content you have contributed (e.g. approved questions and answers, which may be retained in anonymised form).

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data.
• Unsubscribe — opt out of email notifications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
• Objection — object to certain types of processing, including analytics.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

• Authentication — a session cookie on .kaya5.com keeps you signed in.

7. Children’s privacy

Kaya5 is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@kaya5.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify users by email.
